Leave WordPress behind.
Keep the website your business depends on.
Website Freedom converts suitable WordPress websites to a faster, simpler and easier-to-protect platform. You keep your domain, branding, pages, content and essential functionality. We remove the plugin stack, public WordPress login, live database and constant maintenance behind them.
You may not have chosen WordPress—but you are responsible for it
Many business owners inherited WordPress with their website. They did not choose the plugins, theme, page builder, hosting configuration or update policy. Yet they are expected to keep everything compatible and secure.
Website Freedom provides another route.
Common problems include
- –Repeated plugin and theme updates
- –Security warnings
- –Slow administration pages
- –Conflicting plugins
- –Expired licences
- –Broken layouts after updates
- –Spam through forms
- –Unclear maintenance charges
- –Dependence on the original developer
- –A website that becomes slower and more complicated over time
A simpler website beneath the surface
We recreate the customer-facing website using a modern managed foundation designed around the content and functionality the business actually needs. Visitors continue to see the website, pages, images, services and contact options they expect.
What disappears
- No public WordPress administration page
- No live WordPress database
- No PHP installation to maintain
- No collection of third-party plugins
- No page-builder licence dependency
- No routine WordPress update cycle
Faster
Pages are prepared in advance and delivered efficiently rather than being assembled from a database for every visitor.
Safer
Removing the public WordPress installation eliminates many of the common components attackers routinely target.
Simpler
There are fewer moving parts, fewer updates and fewer compatibility problems.
Fully managed
DotServer manages publishing, monitoring, forms, hosting and technical changes.
Ready to grow
Forms, bookings, search, news, multilingual content and selected integrations can still be included when required.
Choose how you want to manage content
Managed editing
Send changes to DotServer and we publish them for you. This is ideal for businesses that only make occasional updates and do not want another administration system to learn. Recommended care plans can include a monthly content allowance.
Simple self-editing
Where regular updates are required, we can provide an easy editing dashboard for approved content areas. You can change agreed text, publish news or update selected information without having access to the technical website itself.
Connected business information
For opening hours, menus, listings, availability or other structured information, we can create a purpose-built editing process appropriate to the business.

Protecting your existing search visibility
Changing the technology behind a website should not mean unnecessarily changing its established URLs and content. During conversion, we review:
- •Existing indexed pages
- •Page titles and descriptions
- •Heading structure
- •Canonical URLs
- •Image text
- •Internal links
- •Structured data
- •Redirect requirements
- •XML sitemap
- •Analytics and search-console tracking
No responsible provider can guarantee that rankings will never fluctuate, but preserving the important structure greatly reduces avoidable migration risk.

The initial review determines whether Website Freedom genuinely suits the website. When it does not, we will recommend managed WordPress hosting or another appropriate solution instead of forcing the website onto the wrong platform.
Website Freedom FAQ
Is this just a copy of my existing website?
It can be a faithful recreation, a refreshed version or a complete redesign. The scope is agreed before work begins.
Will visitors know the website is no longer WordPress?
No. The change concerns the technology behind the website. Your branding, content and domain remain customer-facing.
Can I have a blog?
Yes. News and articles can be managed by DotServer or through an approved editing interface.
Can the website still have forms?
Yes. Contact, quotation, registration and other forms can be provided and protected against automated spam.
What happens to the old WordPress website?
It is retained temporarily during testing and launch. Once the new website is confirmed as working correctly, the old installation can be archived or securely removed.
Can I move away from DotServer later?
Yes. Ownership, access and handover arrangements are documented. We do not believe customers should remain because their website is being held hostage.
What technology does Website Freedom use?
Website Freedom sites are normally built using a modern content-focused website framework and delivered through Cloudflare’s global infrastructure. The precise implementation depends on the website’s content, editing and integration requirements. DotServer manages the technical platform, deployment process and ongoing maintenance for the customer.
